Staff and Teachers

Today’s Learning Childcare has more than 90 years of experience throughout our staff!
All TLC staff is CPR and Pediatric first aid certified and take a minimum of 12 hours of professional development per year to continue their education in the Early Childhood field. Our facility is a member of PACCA (Pennsylvania Childcare Association).

Administration

Stephanie: Director; Stephanie is the Center Director of Today’s Learning Childcare. She has been with TLC since 2010, but has worked in the childcare field since 1999. She has been a director and a co-director, a pre-k teacher as well as an older toddler teacher. Stephanie has her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and her Director’s Credentials. She also has a Batchelor of Arts in Early Learning and Development from Carlow University. Stephanie is married and has four children, Jeremy, Sophia, Drake, and Savannah. She is an active member of NAEYC (National Association of the Education of Young Children), a VIP member of the National Association for Professional Women and has an active role in the kindergarten transition teams for Greensburg Salem and Greater Latrobe School districts.

Marie: Assistant Director; Marie has been with TLC since 2008, Marie was a teacher in the Pre-K classroom for several years and is now an Assistant Director . Marie has her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and her Director's Credential. Marie is married, and has three sons, Dakota, Jakob and Griffin.

Classroom Teachers

Melanie: Preschool; Melanie has been with TLC since 2019 and in the childcare field since 2003. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and works in our Young Preschool Classroom. Melanie is married with three daughter, Emma, Tiffany, and Ashley.

Dorothy: Young Toddler Teacher; Miss Dorothy has been with TLC since 2021 , She is a Hempfield Area graduate. She is a licensed cosmetologist. She has over 8 year experience working with children and enjoys being a grandmother.

Jan: Infant Room; Jan has been with TLC since 2011, and also has several years of childcare experience. She is one of the infant room teachers and recently received her CDA. Jan is married, and has a daughter Erinne and has a granddaughter Riley.

Jess: Infant Room; Miss Jess December 19,1983-November 17, 2022 She worked for TLC from 2020-2022. She had been working the childcare field for over 10 years. Jess had her Bachelor's Degree in Education and worked in our Infant Classroom. Jess was a wife to her husband Ed with two children, Nicole and Hunter. She will forever be missed and in our hearts.

Michele: Infant Room Teacher; Michele has been with TLC since 2021 , she has 8 years of experience working with children. She has her associates degree from WCCC and her Director credential as well. She is married, and enjoys being a grandmother.

Rosie: Infant/Toddler Staff; Miss Rosie has been with TLC since October of 2023, she enjoys being a Grandmother.

Amanda: Morning Manager/ Preschool Teacher; Amanda has been with TLC since 2009. Amanda is currently working towards her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and has a Infant/Toddler CDA. Amanda works in the Preschool Room. Amanda is married and has a two boys Leo & Dean.

Amber: Older Toddler Teacher; Amber started with TLC in 2021 , she has 10 years of childcare experiences , she has some college credits taken through WCCC , and is finishing her CDA in Infant and toddler development , and working on her Bachelor's in Early development and learning from Carlow University.

Tracey: Pre-K Teacher; Tracey has been with TLC since 2013, and has over 20 years experience working in childcare. Tracey has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood education. Tracey is one of the teachers in the Pre-K Room. She is married with a son Billy, and her granddaughter Olivia.

Victoria: Pre-K Teacher; Miss Victoria has a BA in Psychology and certification in Addictive Disorders. She is married and has a son Toby.

Mark: School age staff; Mr. mark has worked with TLC since 2020, he has helped during online schooling for school age and helps with our before and after school program. He has a Bachelors degree from University of Pittsburgh as a Political Science major. He has retired from year of experience working in sales. he is married and has 4 grandchildren.

Emily: School Age Staff; Emily has worked with TLC since 2021. She works in our before & after school age program as well as working with all ages in all classrooms. She graduated from University of Pittsburgh Greensburg Campus with her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. She recently got engaged.

Steph: School age staff; Miss Steph has been with TLC off and on since 2020 as one of our before and after school teachers. She has an associates degree from WCCC in Early Childhood Education , and a bachelors degree in specialized studies at Edinboro University, and a associates degree in developmental disabilities also from Edinboro university. She has many years of working with youth.

Dom: School Age staff; Mr Dom has been with TLC since March of 2023. He has BA in Elementary education from Wheeling Jesuit University & MA in Education Administration from Duquesne University. He is a wrestling coach at Saint Vincent college. He has a daughter Gemma.

Jenn: Toddler; Jenn has been with TLC since 2019. She has been in the childcare field since 2013. Jenn works in the Toddler Room. She has 2 children Teagan and Travis.

Dawn: Toddler Room; Miss Dawn has been with TLC since May 2023, she has 5 children and enjoys spending time with family.

Savannah: Young Preschool Teacher; Savannah has worked with TLC since 2021. She is a Greensburg Salem Graduate , and has 10 years experience babysitting.

Paula: Young Toddler room; Miss Paula has been with TLC since December of 2021, she has year of experience working with children. Owned her own in home daycare. Is married and has a grandson.

All Rooms

Bri: Floating Staff; Miss Bri has been with TLC since 2021. She graduated with her associates in Early Childhood Education Pre-K to 4. She is continuing on with her education at Carlow University and will be student teaching this Fall in Greensburg Salem School District. She works with all ages and in all classrooms.

Michaela: Floating Staff; Michaela has been with TLC since 2020 , she recently graduated from Cal U with a bachelors in Elementary Education. She continues to work in all classrooms through the school year and loves working with children of all ages.

Alyssa: Floating Staff; Alyssa has been with TLC since 2018 . Alyssa works in all classrooms helping all of the teachers, since Covid has done our pick up duties and lunch duties.

Alayna: Floating Staff; Alayna has been with TLC since 2019, and TLC is her first childcare experience. She graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelors in Elementary Education and her Teaching certificate. Alayna works as a floater in multiple classrooms and enjoys working with children of all ages.

Anthony: Floating Staff; Mr. Anthony started working with TLC in 2023. He also is very active in the Westmoreland Performing Arts and the Cultural trust performing arts.

Mackenzie: Floating Staff; Miss Mackenzie has been with TLC since September of 2023, she currently is pursing her nursing degree with WCCC.

Alana: Floating Staff; Miss Alana has been with TLC since October 2023 , she currently works with our Before and After school program.

Graciella: Floating Staff; Graciella started at TLC this summer, and has recently graduated from University of Pittsburgh with her bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. She does well in all classrooms and with all ages of children. She is happy to help teachers in their classrooms with their daily responsibilities and with activities for the children.

Shayne: Floating Staff; Shayne has been at TLC since 2023 and works in all of our classrooms. He recently graduated from University of Pittsburgh with his bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. He's had 4 years of experience in childcare and enjoys working with children of all ages.
